President's Message

Dear Temecula Middle School Families,

TMS PTSA welcomes our new students, our returning students and their families. As we all prepare for the busy months ahead, I would like to take this opportunity to briefly update you on what we accomplished last year and our goals for the coming school year.

Last year, with support from our families and local businesses, TMS PTSA was able to budget for and distribute $1000.00 to EACH GRADE LEVEL - 6th, 7th, and 8th.  With these funds, teachers were given the opportunity to purchase classroom supplies and/or provide student activities.  Funds were also distributed equitably among our Explore classes and to sponsor and support programs such as: Reflections (art program), Red Ribbon Week, two Faculty Appreciation events, our Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program, the Math League Competition and the Library Read-a-thon.  Our annual Star Testing Pancake Breakfast was held on the first day of testing and extended to serving jelly sandwiches and fruit to our students on the last day of testing.  Additional banners were purchased to continue the process of encouraging our students to look beyond  high school by showcasing college banners in our Multi Purpose Room.  We would like to continue to invite our parents to help us by donating a banner from your favorite college or Alma Mater.

Our greatest accomplishment this past year was teaming with the Morning Announcements team and assisting in the process of requesting a donation from Best Buy to upgrade outdated equipment.  Best Buy generously donated a flat screen television and much needed cables.  Funds collected from monthly Family Restaurant Nights were used to purchase an additional flat screen television and cables.

Our goal for this year is to assist our faculty in creating and implementing our Bobcat Pride Awards program.  The program will recognize students on a monthly basis for various accomplishments.

With the support of our membership, TMS families, and community, our PTSA will continue to improve our school to achieve our most important goal of creating a safe learning environment for our students to succeed

On behalf of Temecula Middle School PTSA, thank you again for your continued support. If you have any questions or would like further information, please feel free to CONTACT ME. Thank you.

Sincerely,
REBECCA WILSON
2012-2013 TMS PTSA President
