Textbook Return 2016
As we approach the end of the school year, your student must prepare to return his/her books to the Library/Media Center. Each student has been issued textbooks with particular barcode numbers located on the cover of the book. These numbers must match the computer checkout information on your student’s record. Many times a student will return “a” book, but not “the” book that was issued to him/her. In order for your student’s account to be cleared and no fine assessed, the correct books MUST be returned.
If your child lent a textbook to another child and it was lost or damaged, the original owner is responsible for its return and/or fines.
Fines are charged for torn and/or missing pages, ripped covers, broken bindings, graffiti, liquid damage, and food/beverage soilage. Fines vary from $2.00 to $99.00 (total book cost).
Any workbooks your child received in their classes are consumable titles; they should not be returned.
All books will be returned during your student’s Science Class
The return schedule is as follows:
8th Grade – Wednesday, May 25th
7th Grade – Thursday, May 26th
6th Grade – Friday, May 27th
All 6th grade band and choir students participating in the Disneyland field trip on Friday, May 27th must return their textbooks on Thursday, May 26th. The library will open its doors at 7:15 a.m. to begin textbook return on all days.
Be advised that if you are not cleared through the library, your yearbook will be held until after school on Friday, June 3rd. In addition, class schedules and textbooks for the 2016/17 school year will be withheld at registration. Exiting 8th grade students will not be able to check out books at the high school level, unless all textbooks are returned and all fines are paid.
An email will be sent out a couple days prior to your students' textbook return date to make them aware of all the items they have checked out that need to be returned.

"At the moment that we persuade a child, any child, to cross that threshold, that magic threshold into a library, we change their lives forever, for the better."
