Temecula Middle School

Administration

Marvin Morton, Principal

On behalf of the Temecula Middle School staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2017-18 school year.  We are all looking forward to a year filled with great teaching and high levels of student learning.  I cannot wait to get started!

I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new principal at TMS.  This will be my 20th year in education, 15 of them as a teacher and five more as an administrator.  Most recently, I have spent the last eight years at Chaparral High School here in Temecula where I served as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and assistant principal (not all at the same time, of course).  Like all educators, I am in this profession because I know that ALL of our students benefit from receiving the best possible education that we can provide.  At TMS, our faculty and staff work daily to provide a high quality education for each of our students.

I have resided in Temecula with my wife and three children since 2006.  When I have free time, I like to spend the day barbecuing, reading, playing sports, and catching a UCLA football or basketball game.  We also have three dogs (Duke, Daisy, and Zoey) -- and I have no idea how that happened ...

Cindy Sparks, Assistant Principal

I feel privileged to be a part of Temecula Middle School!  Working in such a wonderful community, with our outstanding staff, is truly an honor.  After earning my B.A. at California State University, Long Beach, I moved to Arizona where I taught high school English for several years.  In 1994, I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling at Arizona State University.  Shortly thereafter, I moved out of the classroom into a middle school counseling position.  Prior to becoming the assistant principal here,  I spent six years in the counseling office at Day Middle School.  I’m looking forward to another great year at Temecula Middle School!
